Are you a grandparent that:

  • Is Having trouble with contact with your grandchild(ren)?
  • Is Raising your grandchild(ren); on a temporary or permanent basis?
Separation Resource Services:

Research indicates the importance of obtaining information as the first step towards a non-adversarial process towards settling family law matters.
Our Separation Resource Services may be helpful to you in acquiring key information in a timely manner. 
We do NOT provide legal advice; however, we can provide:
  • orientation to family law;
  • overview of dispute resolution options and legal resources available in the community;
  • coaching for effective participation in mediation and in self-representation at court;
  • tips on preparing for lawyer interviews to efficiently use time;
  • assistance in finding court forms and help in filling them out;
  • accompaniment to lawyer appointment and/or court​

Counselling Services:​

Separation, Divorce, or other family issues can be especially challenging for Grandparents.
In some situations grandparents:
  • take on more of a parenting role, or
  • may lose access to the  grandchild(ren) all together. 
Our Master Levels Counsellors can offer support.​
Initial Appointment ($30 fee)

Parenting After Separation:
If you are filing an application in court with respect contact to your grandchild (this also applies to step-parents, or extend family members), then the Certificate provided by  the Parenting After Separation session is mandatory.​
Effective October 25, 2019
Parenting After Separation can only be done online
