Listening to Men's Stories

We want to hear your story of divorce, separation and ending relationship.

Family Services of Greater Victoria and the Department of Sociology of Vancouver Island University are conducting research into men’s experiences at the end of relationships.
Your participation will really make a difference.
The principal purpose of this research is to understand better men's experiences in these life transitions.
Family Services of Greater Victoria will also use this information to design new programs to support men.  We want to hear your story, positive, neutral, or negative, to make our understanding of mens’ common experience as comprehensive as possible.
Your participation is 100% confidential. You can also revise, comment upon, or add to your story upon reviewing the transcript. Transcripts will be edited to remove any names or statements from which individual participants could be identified.
Participants can withdraw from the research at any time.  All participants will receive a summary report of the research findings.
Please consider participating in this research and passing on this information to anyone who may be interested in participating in the research program.
Interviews will be conducted by telephone at a time convenient to the participant and will not take more than an hour.
Interviews will be conducted by:
  • Jane Taylor Lee M.A.  CCC, Executive Director, Family Services of Greater Victoria
or
  • Professor Bruce McGuigan, Department of Sociology, Vancouver Island University
